For the first time in more than 45 years, we hosted OSU Arts Week in Stillwater! This dynamic, week-long celebration of the visual, performing and applied arts ignited creativity, fostered meaningful connections and created lasting memories for students, faculty, staff and community members alike.

Stillwater Arts Festival

April 2025

With support from the City of Stillwater, the Arts and Humanities Council of Stillwater, and Visit Stillwater, the Prairie Arts Center welcomed dozens of fine artists, vendors, musicians and food trucks — and the community! — to the 2025 Stillwater Arts Festival. Despite some rain, the free festival was a huge success! The 2026 Stillwater Arts Festival dates will be announced soon!

The McKnight Center for the Performing Arts

The McKnight Center is a world-class epicenter for the arts, attracting celebrated national and international programs featuring notable performing arts productions and artists.

OSU Museum of Art

The OSU Museum of Art is the university’s official exhibition hall for art, and the host of paintings, photographs, and unique art from around the world.

Doel Reed Center in Taos

With a particular focus on Southern and New Mexican culture, the Doel Reed Center offers ‘leisure learning courses’, week-long classes in New Mexico that are led by experienced artists and instructors. The center also has scholarships and leisure courses that provide credit to students.

Prairie Arts Center

The Prairie Arts Center, a partnership between OSU and Stillwater Community Arts, promotes art creation and interest in the community of Stillwater, and hosts many instructional arts events.

Gardiner Gallery of Art

Within the Bartlett Visual Arts Center, the Gardiner Gallery of Art hosts the art of students, traveling artists, and faculty in many exhibitions throughout the year.

Center for Poets and Writers

The Center for Poets and Writers at OSU-Tulsa promotes writing and filmmaking and cultivates a thriving, diverse literary and film arts community.

College of Arts and Sciences

The largest college at OSU and one of the largest sponsors of OSU’s arts community. The college also offers a significant number of scholarships for undergraduate students and enrichment opportunities for students and faculty.

Department of Theatre

Aims to provide students at the university with a comprehensive, professionally-focused theatre education that gives students practical experience through performance and classes. Experience fantastic performances as students gain experience in costume design, set design, and performance.

Greenwood School of Music

The Greenwood School of Music is home to the musical community at OSU. Every year, more than 200 concerts, recitals, and events are presented by guest artists, students, community members, and faculty.

Department of Art, Graphic Design, and Art History

The premier host of community arts and lessons, including sculpture, painting, and others. Also offers degrees in Studio Art, Graphic Design, and Art History with a number of scholarships available for application.

Entertainment Media Degree Program

OSU-Tulsa's entertainment media degree offers film, TV, digital storytelling and communications curriculum to build skills in applied arts for a rapidly changing industry.

The Oklahoma State University Museum of Art announced the receipt of three contemporary Native American works from the Ralph T. Coe Center for the Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Billboard magazine honors OSU’s Greenwood School of Music for fourth year in a row Dec 1

Oklahoma State University’s music industry program was first recognized in 2022 for Poke U Records, a student-run record label that gives music industry majors hands-on experience in recording, producing and navigating the music business. Now, four years later, the program continues to be recognized for its industry opportunities and student preparedness. Dr. Mark Perry, director of the program, said sustaining that level of excellence comes from the growing depth of student talent.
