The planning process
Timeline
Since the launch of the strategy development process in October 2021, the on-campus content development has proceeded in concert with robust constituency involvement and input off-campus.
Over the past year, we've been actively listening to our students, faculty and staff on our Stillwater campus, as well as at our partner campuses and across the Cowboy family — including alumni, extension, donors and friends.
The timeline depicts a broad view of the steps in the strategy process.

Leading with purpose
Steering Committee
The steering committee members are responsible for engaging in a system-wide process of listening. From January to May 2022, committee members will be formed into working groups in key areas to take a deep-dive into specific topics and gather data.
Working Groups
Drawn from a diverse cross-section of experts across the OSU System, the more than fifty Working Group members are charged with reviewing data on the higher education landscape; assessing input gathered from various stakeholder groups; reviewing the University’s current strengths and areas of opportunity, and developing findings based on their collective analysis. The Working Groups will formulate the imperatives that will animate the University’s Strategy and allow OSU to honor its Land Grant mission and increasingly impact society in the years ahead.
