Application Deadlines
All application materials and documents, such as updated test scores or transcripts,
must be submitted by these deadlines for final consideration.

Here are the important dates and deadlines for students entering OSU in the fall semester.
- July 1 - Application opens
Log in to your application portal
Students who have completed their junior year in high school, or transfer students, can begin applying for the following year.

August 1 - Common Application opens (freshmen only)
All incoming first-time freshman, including freshman international students, applying for undergraduate admission to OSU can begin applying for the following year.
- November 1 - Early opportunity scholarship deadline
The Early Opportunity Scholarship Deadline is Nov. 1, while all scholarship materials must be submitted by Feb. 1 to ensure scholarship consideration for fall-entering students. Learn more about international scholarships here.
- December 1 - Enrollment deposit opens
Admitted students must pay the $300 enrollment deposit beginning Dec. 1 to register for housing and orientation and enrollment. Room selection will be based on when the housing application is completed. The enrollment deposit can be refunded in part ($250) until May 1. You can submit your enrollment deposit by logging in to your application portal.
- February 1 - Priority Scholarship Deadline
Applications received after Feb. 1 may not be considered for all scholarship programs and will be considered only if funds remain. Make sure you have sent a new transcript from your high school showing your fall grades. Keep an eye on your application portal for updates. Learn more about international scholarships here.
- February 1 - Housing application opens

Once you’ve submitted your enrollment deposit, you can register for housing and apply for one of our Living Learning Programs.
You'll select your housing preferences at this time, and we'll begin making room assignments in the spring based on your preferences and the date/time you submitted your enrollment deposit. Explore your living options.
At this time, you'll also choose your meal plan.

- May 1 - College decision day
Some scholarships and financial aid must be accepted by May 1 or they will be canceled.
