Freshmen application steps
These important steps in the application process must be completed to begin your journey at OSU. Just remember, your application for admission is also your application for scholarships. To process your application quickly, we suggest that you complete the application online. You can log back into your account and finish at a later time.
Your application for admission is also your application for scholarships.
Submit your essays and leadership and involvement resume
While you are not required to complete the essay questions, we suggest you answer them to the best of your ability so that you will be considered for all applicable scholarship opportunities. We want to know as much about you as we can. Be sure to include any organizations you're part of, honors you've received, jobs you've had or service hours you've completed on your leadership and involvement resume.
Pay application fee or submit fee waiver
Oklahoma State University accepts application fee waivers from ACT, SAT and NACAC. You can have your high school counselor forward your application fee waiver by email at firstname.lastname@example.org, by fax at (405) 744-7092 or by mail to the address listed below.
We also offer application fee waivers to students based on demonstrated need (example: a student on free or reduced lunch). You can have your high school counselor forward your application fee waiver by email at email@example.com, by fax (405) 744-7092 or by mail to:
219 Student Union
Stillwater, OK 74078
Submit official transcript & test scores
Have your high school send Oklahoma State University your official transcript.
If you would like your ACT or SAT scores considered for admission or scholarships, send Oklahoma State University your official scores when you take the test by including OSU's official code of 3424 for ACT and 6546 for SAT. We also accept test scores reported on your official high school transcript.
Currently, consideration for most OSU scholarships will require a test score. OSU does not consider the essay component of the ACT/SAT for admission or scholarships. We will accept the official superscore provided by ACT for both admission and scholarship consideration.
